The Volkswagen rear view camera lets you spot any obstacles behind your car – even moving ones – quickly and easily.

Installed in the rear of your car, the reversing camera provides an additional safety and convenience feature, reducing the chances of reversing into low level obstacles.

The camera starts working as soon as you engage reverse gear. It shows the area behind the car on your touch-screen radio or radio navigation system display offering you a clear image with guidelines. Superimposed graphic lines guide you to the optimal steering lock, guaranteeing fuss-free, smooth parking.

Using the rear view camera means you’ll be able to manoeuvre quickly and easily, even into the most difficult parking space. It also alerts you to low-down obstacles which parking sensors may not always detect. The reversing camera is also a great aid when you are hitching up a trailer.

The Optical and Acoustic Parking System, with its eight ultrasonic sensors, provides all-round assistance when parking. As you begin to approach an obstacle you are warned by an audible tone as well as a graphical display on the radio with an illustration of the car and corresponding distance to an obstacle. The closer you get to an obstacle, the faster the tone sounds until you are less than 25cm away, where the tone becomes continuous. The parking system is activated when reverse gear is engaged or manually by pressing the Parking switch on the dash.

The Volkswagen 6 disk CD changer allows 6 audio CDs to be stored and accessed using the controls on your radio or radio-navigation system. This single DIN sized CD changer fits in the armrest, allowing easy access for disk changes. Audio CD disks are loaded one-by-one and accessed by numbered buttons on the fascia to enable individual retrieval.

The RCD 310 radio/MP3 compatible CD player can take up to eight speakers with an output of 4 x 20 watts. A DAB version is available that supplements the FM/AM tuner with digital radio reception. This is probably the best parking aid ever invented. Don’t second guess where your car ends and the where the car behind you starts. The Acoustic Parking Sensors will provide an audible warning with a series of beeps that increase in pitch and frequency as you move nearer a stationary object. Available for rear and/or front fitment.

The front parking sensors can be fitted to supplement a vehicle that only has rear sensors.

Our parking sensors are installed from behind the bumper and have a flush fit to achieve the same factory look. Beware of cheap parking sensors that are not flush mounted, are installed from outside the vehicle and do not achieve the same factory finish. We only fit the original manufacturer’s parking sensor switch (where required) to maintain the factory look. Please contact us for further details.

As with all the products we supply and fit, we offer a 3 year on-site warranty on parts and labour.
